My body springs free
of knots
Steps shift into
smooth sequence
Hands turn skyward
a weight lifted off them
Legs defy gravity
Music not missed
for the heels
make lofty rhythms
I spin endlessly
weaving sweetness
within my silver soul
Doer – deed
the binary merges
Choreography dispels
I taste limitless liberty
Movements carry me along
I surrender –

Beautiful. Phylicia Rashad said recently that we dance before we walk, and that artistic expression feeds our souls. I love seeing children dance with abandon, that is before we admonish them to be more “civil”.” Thank you for the likes on my posts. Regina
